The Community Newsletter acts as a unifying communication platform for the Deravasi Jain and Sthanakvasi Jain communities. Published through joint efforts, it keeps members informed about social, religious, and community developments. Over time, while its format has evolved, it continues to reflect the collective voice and spirit of the society.

Social Harmony & Mediation
Kendriya Madhya Samiti
Formed jointly by Deravasi Jain Mahajan, Sthanakvasi Jain Mahajan, and Seva Samaj, the Central Mediation Committee facilitates amicable resolution of marital, family, and property-related matters. Supported by experienced social workers and legal professionals, the committee also organises meetings for unmarried youth, addressing sensitive social concerns with discretion and responsibility.

Medical Centre
Shri C.V.O.D. Medical Centre
The Shri C.V.O.D. Medical Centre is a comprehensive community healthcare initiative dedicated to providing accessible, integrated, and affordable medical services under one roof. The centre offers consultations across multiple specialties including Dermatology (Skin & Hair Care), Diabetology, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Homeopathy, Clinical Nutrition, Naturopathy, Chiropractic Care, Acupressure, Acupuncture, and many more, ensuring holistic care for individuals and families.
Pathology Support:
An in-house pathology laboratory supports diagnostic needs, with several tests available at subsidised and discounted rates for community members.

Health & Wellness Initiatives
Swasth Samaj Samrudh Samaj
Senior citizen wellness camps are organised across Mumbai, focusing on preventive healthcare through yoga, exercise, and lifestyle guidance. Conducted under expert supervision and offered free of cost, these initiatives have benefited over 1,000 citizens above the age of 50 with strong support from donors and volunteers.

Youth & Sports Development
Sports Training for Children
To encourage physical fitness and discipline among children, structured sports training programmes were conducted across Mumbai with professional trainers. Nearly 800 children participated at concessional rates, helping nurture confidence, teamwork, and sporting skills.

Swaman Lagan
Community Wedding Initiative
A community wedding initiative by Shri Cutchi Visa Oswal Deravasi Jain Mahajan – Mumbai, promoting simple, dignified, and value-driven marriages rooted in Jain traditions.

Community Engagement
Bherpo – Connecting People
Under the Connect the People initiative, Mumbai was divided into 12 zones to strengthen community bonding. Through sports, cultural, and social activities, children, youth, and senior citizens were provided platforms to connect, participate, and showcase their talents.

Inclusive Support
Pahel – Support for Divyang Children
Pahel was initiated to support specially-abled children through social inclusion, guidance programmes, and emotional care. Various initiatives were conducted with active participation from families, donors, and professionals.

Community Sports
Kutchi Olympia 2016
Kutchi Olympia 2016 was one of the largest sporting events organised by the KVO community, with participation from nearly 12,000 individuals across 87 villages. Events such as Throwball, Lagori, Marathons, and Junior Cricket Tournaments promoted fitness, unity, and sportsmanship across age groups.

Financial & Relief Support
Utkarsh Samiti
Established during the 2002 Mumbai floods, Utkarsh Samiti provided immediate financial assistance and loans to affected families. Today, it continues to support needy members through housing loans, enabling dignified home ownership.

Religious Awareness & Education
Organised Panch Pratikraman, Navpad Tapo Nidhi, and published Jain religious literature to promote spiritual awareness.
Disaster & Crisis Support
Provided financial assistance and loans during floods in Western Maharashtra and extended food, medical, and emergency financial aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Business Revival
Business loans amounting to nearly ₹10 crores were extended to traders affected during COVID-19, supporting economic recovery and livelihoods.

Looking Ahead
